Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

The Role:


At Brightloom, we are working to create meaningful relationships between people and the brands they love. Our Customer Growth Platform (CGP) offers a SaaS approach to automated AI-driven, predictive personalization for customer brand operators.


As a Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack, you will leverage industry standard and modern technology to own the end-to-end development life cycle – from requirements collection and engineering design to implementation and operations – of front-end solutions to provide a performant, intuitive and engaging user experience for our customers.


This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is invested in the customer journey to help ensure the best products are delivered to our customers, and who is eager to perform in a lead role on a growing team.

What You'll Do:

  • Web application development in Data/ML/AI space: design, build, and maintain the front-end and middle-tier services for Brightloom’s customer-facing web portal; leverage REST API best practices and cutting-edge web technologies to develop a revolutionary and intuitive web-based user interface for ML/AI tools and data insights applications

  • Engineering excellence: set and maintain a high bar for software quality and user experience by testing and maintaining the software products developed by your team; ensure everything you write is following standards, well tested, automated and documented, so we can continuously release our changes

  • Ownership: think about software architecture, system operations, and providing value to business while solving problems and writing code

  • Team engagement: participate in planning and retrospectives; establish a technical community with peers that empowers career growth

  • Cross-functional partnership: collaborate with Product Design, Data Science, Data Engineering and Product Management partners on technical vision and goals to deliver the optimal experience to Brightloom’s users


About You:

  • 7+ years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining customer-facing web applications, including the user interface and its direct backend services

  • Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, complemented by experience with React, Next.js or similar modern web frameworks

  • Experience with managing and integrating websites with Auth0 or a third-party user authentication and authorization service

  • Strong experience in developing web-backend services in Python, and integrating the web UI with internal and external REST API to present to end users

  • Obsessed with customer experience and constantly strive for a design that users love

  • Experience with AWS or similar modern cloud infrastructure

  • General knowledge of CI/CD automation and system observability

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex problem-solving processes and potential solutions to non-technical team members

  • Having an undergraduate degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline


Bonus Points:

  • Experience in a startup

  • Experience with web-based data visualization with BI embedding or related frameworks

  • Having passion for working in Data/ML/AI technology space

  • Having passion for what you do and don't mind showing it off
