Senior Data Scientist, LLM App Development
Brightloom is creating an entirely new category of software-as-a-service for consumer brands -- the Customer Growth Platform. This first-of-its-kind platform enables automated digital engagement and personalized loyalty programs to transform customer experiences while delivering predictable and repeatable lifetime value growth for brands.
As a Senior Data Scientist on our AI tool development team, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing an AI-powered tool designed to revolutionize how consumer brand operators understand and utilize their data. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a tool that not only answers complex queries but also assists in assembling SQL queries to access and analyze consumer sales data efficiently. In addition to new product development, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our existing machine learning based segmentation processes that the Customer Growth Platform is composed of.
What You’ll Do:
Optimization of Large Language Models (LLMs): Fine-tune and optimize LLMs to effectively interpret user queries and generate precise SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
Prompt Engineering: Develop and refine prompts to ensure the AI tool accurately understands and responds to a wide range of data-related queries, from complex analysis to general industry questions.
Collaborative Backend Engineering Support: Collaborate with our backend engineering team to contribute to the management and enhancement of key backend components. This includes assisting in the refinement of user input processing, ensuring accurate model output tracking, and facilitating seamless integration with our existing data infrastructure.
Data platform design: work your way up the Data Science Hierarchy of Needs. You’ll partner with software engineering and product management counterparts to design our data and machine learning infrastructure, including collection, storage, processing, experiment design, modeling, and finally automated optimization.
Predictive modeling and data products: you’ll be the primary contributor on the models that power our forecasting and recommendations, which are at the core of this role and our Customer Growth Platform offering.
5+ years of demonstrated success using machine learning model development to solve business needs
Expertise in Python's core libraries and data structures, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and modular code.
Proven experience in working with large language models, natural language processing, and SQL.
Strong background in machine learning, AI technologies, and prompt engineering.
General knowledge of best practices in software development including unit testing, continuous integration, and code documentation.
Experience with Python libraries and frameworks that handle large datasets or big data environments such as Spark (PySpark), Dask, or Hadoop.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline a plus, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science
